More benefits, with less risk
Barclaycard Business Hotel Tracker enables you to experience all the benefits of hotel bill-back but without any of the credit exposure that comes with it. What’s more you won’t have to make any system changes to take advantage of Hotel Tracker’s benefits either.
How it works
- You receive your booking, as usual from either the agent or company (if they have their own travel booking unit), via the GDS system, fax or telephone
- The booking information will contain the Barclaycard Business Hotel Tracker Visa card number and expiry date
- When the traveller checks out they should check and sign the invoice
- You then process the transaction as a card-not-present payment and send the invoice back to the agent (see important information below).
Benefits
- No system changes are required
- You can benefit from swifter payment and your business benefits too
- Enables you to review any large customer accounts that may benefit from having Hotel Tracker.

Important information:
There are no physical plastic cards associated with the Barclaycard Business Hotel Tracker Visa account, and as such the booking agent will not be able to provide you with photocopies of the front and back of the card. This is a standard feature of the Barclaycard Business Hotel Tracker account and the account should be charged via a card-not-present transaction.
Visa scheme rules state "Visa data security rules prohibit acquirers and merchants from storing the card security code (CVV2) in anticipation of a future transaction" therefore it is recommended that this practice is not followed by hoteliers as they could be deemed to be breaking these rules by storing a photocopy of the back of the card. If you have any difficulties, please contact your merchant acquirer who will be able to provide you with assistance.
